What makes an awesome ruler to the throne, or seat of highness?
I would really like to know how to do well at being Regent, Monarch, Champion, PM, or GMR or whoever else that holds a position in office...
Thanks,
Marcil

Being PM
I only really have experience being a Prime Minister and that of a Shire. For the most part, however, I think I do a pretty good job.
The most important thing I do on a regular basis, obviously, is records. So before I leave for the park I print out a sign in sheet. There is a really nice one on the ork. Take it to the park. My first job is to make sure EVERYONE signs in. I go bug the shit out of everyone and make them sign in.
I also make sure if new people show up I get them to sign in and if they want to fight, I get them to sign a waiver. I always have a few of them on me at all times.
Even while I fight, I try to keep my eye on who has shown up and make sure that they are signing in. It's probably more difficult at PV because you have so many people, but ... we've been pulling in over 20 people a week lately so I get around. I especially am busy when I notice people walking through the park wanting to try it out; I make sure they sign in as visitors because they count too.
The next step which is equally as important as the previous one is to get off my arse when I get home and put it all on the O.R.K. Next, I file the sign in sheet some when audit time comes around I'm not looking for 20 sign in sheets I've lost.
I have a box right next to my computer and I just drop the sign in sheet in it and I'm done. So you're really responsible for a big part of the audit too; I'm primarily responsible at the Shire level.
We also have to run general elections (if we're not running and the same people are). I've run it 2 or 3 times already. You just have to have notes on that prepared. You have to know who is running and make sure they've done what they need to do (have passed their reeve's test, etc.) and then run crown quals.
I could write you a book on that, but its probably in that link Glenalth gave above.
Keep track of the account. Be generally responsible, blah blah. I hope that helps.
