Quick and Easy Soda Pop Bread
(makes two small loaves in 30 minutes)
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 12 oz of warm soda (1 can worth, no diet sodas)
- 1 tablespoon yeast
Instructions
- Mix the ingredients together.
- Separate the dough into two halves and place in small bread pans.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Notes
- Nearly any type of soda works in this recipe as long as it has sugar or high fructose corn syrup in it.
- Artificial fruit flavors usually turn out well while subtle flavors can be hard to detect in the bread.
- The Mountain Dew family of sodas and energy drinks also give an interesting alternative form of caffeine intake.
- Berry, grape, and apple juices can be substituted for soda but you will have to wait for the bread to raise a bit after you put it in the bread pans.
