So you'll be showing up at fighter practice this week then I take it? I actually have some drills and things planned out that I want to work on this week. Also If you're interested in making a Pell let me know as it will definitely help. I spent several hours talking to various people at clan learning new shots and techniques that I will be working on over the next however long it takes to learn.

Working on some more anti-lefty maneuvers this week, Tiwaz? The champions tourney keeps getting closer.

I will try to show up to Fighter Practice on Thursday, and will especially be able to make it if I can get a ride home(yes, tell me if you are able to provide such a ride).

I didn't know you could make pells by hand, I think that would be an awesome thing to know how to do.

Actually I was thinking of how I could actually make fighter practice something where you might actually learn something (especially since it's one of the last ones I'll be in charge of this term) I came up with some ideas on how to do some new drills from what glen and I were talking about at clan. That said Styxx is the only other person who declared for Champion so I should probably get as much info on fighting lefties as I can...he's use to fighting right handed people I'm not so use to fighting left handed people. I don't even pass the cor pora test not to mention winning the tourney or getting Champion but at least I'm being active. I'll continue to run for GM of Warriors until someone who shows up (or will show up) wants the position.

If you ask I'll give you a ride home every week you show up, Marcil seems to be getting rides with Bob or his mom regularly now as long as I have my cell phone so it shouldn't be a problem.

As for building a pell it's not that hard to do but you do need some tools. I may or may not do a write up on how to make a cheap one (cost would depend on what you had laying around the house but I'd guestimate like 10-30 bucks) that should last years, if not I can help whoever wants one make one. We can discuss on Thursday if you're interested. Also you can go buy a used punching bag from play it again sports for like 20-50 bucks and simply use that.

Marcil as for not fighting Ash thats up to you...but the question is can you beat him? If not find out why and learn from it, if you can kudos but perhaps you should have talked to Glen while you were at clan too. What I learned is even the biggest noob or flurb can be a great training partner.

That's bullshit.

You learn just as much from fighting Ash as from fighting Tiwaz. The only difference is that since Ash has a more original fighting style, it's harder to adapt what you learn from him to suit more mainstream fighters. Ash isn't a flurb fighter, he's an original fighter. There are certain things you can learn from fighting him that you can't learn in other places.

Specifically, there are still some key skills you can improve by fighting Ash. For example, it improves your reaction time, you learn to close distance better, you learn to aim your shots better, and other things. You just have to analyze it some.

Fighting is not something where you can just do it over and over again to get better, you specifically have to think about what you want to improve on.

The corpora isn't that complicated. If you still can't pass a test by next week, I'll help you a bit if I can.

@Lurker: 100% agree with everything you said and if Marcil won't fight Ash thats fine with me I don't mind fighting Ash one bit. As for Corpora help I think saturday is the last day I'll have to pass the test...If I fail the first one I may talk to you before the 2nd and 3rd. It's not that its complicated it's just a lot of info that I don't use on a weekly basis, like how many people are in the BOD and how many guards a Monarch can appoint...

yeah, some of those corpora lines are fairly useless. Unfortunately, it depends entirely on who wrote the tests. I need to take one of those too.

I think F'lar wrote the tests, or he acquired them...not sure. Guess it would just be nice to have a practice test or 10 to get some random questions like what I'd see on the real test. The last one I took I only answered maybe 10 questions and the rest were Greek to me.

make one real quick then and I'll take it :P 10 questions is plenty if i don't get 7 right then I need to study more...I've basically only looked at the first few pages (was gonna take my corpora to clan but left it at home)

gmail ftw, as for the test....I just printed it, I did however look over the questions and at least one of them is unanswerable...number 5 asks what are the 2 mundane laws there are a crap load of laws, I'll look at the corpora and see if it actually mentions 2 specifically. The first question should probably be 2 questions and I'm not sure what you mean by "what are they classified as" does that mean what's their function? guess it would just be worth multiple points...beyond that it looks easy enough, but I'm not done reading the corpora yet. I'll bring the test with my answers tomorrow and you can look it over, some I may not answer as I'm not sure what you mean in the question but I'll answer verbally. anyway gonna go watch never back down now and build 2 daggers and maybe a shield.

It is possible that you added the wrong "me".
Gmail has a system where you can add "comment" to the end of your name. For example, when I post on the PV list, it uses my Amtgard account, which is "[removed]+amtgard@gmail.com". Because I have it do that, it lets me differentiate from amtgard and mundane mail.

I sent you an invite. You want to set up your contact with "[removed]@gmail.com", instead of the other one, because it doesn't like commenting in chat invites and such.

Not really too worried about it...I have 3 chances to pass a test tomorrow. Not sure if I have to pass it tomorrow or just before the elections which would be next week. I read up as much as I could but it's pretty boring material. Honestly if I don't pass that's fine if I do that's great too.
