Saturday May 02, 2009

Our normal weekly meeting takes place Saturday afternoon at Taylor Park.

  • Noon: Eat and Greet, don't expect a crowd, or anyone during inclement weather, but a few hearty souls are usually at the park.
  • 1pm: Ditching (fast group vs group battles for practice) and camaraderie.
  • 2pm: Battlegame or Quest.
  • 3pm: More ditching or possibly a second battlegame depending on players.
  • 4pm onward: Additional ditching and sparring for the die-hards.

Arts & Sciences takes place at 6:30PM at the New Mexico Restaurant Association.

Please bring your own equipment and materials for what you want to make or ask someone ahead of time to bring equipment for you to use.

I will have the projector working if anyone wants to teach something via Power Point. Or we can toss in a movie to play while we work.

It's finally here!!!

What: Celtic Festival & Highland Games
When: Saturday, May 16th 9:00a - 5:00p & Sunday, May 17th 9:00a - 4:00p
Where: Balloon Fiesta Park
Why: Food, fun, SUNBURNS!!
How much: Free admission for 4 hrs. of volunteer work at any of the booths (while supplies last!)

This year, Pegasus Valley will be having an archery booth, fight-a-knight, a table where we will be selling daggers and short swords, and a display table of various items made by our members. If you have anything you would to display or any tables to put stuff on, feel free to bring it out.

I talked to the coordinator, and she will be providing us with wristbands prior to the event. I should be able to pick them up Friday afternoon. On Saturday (or Sunday), when you show up to the gate, call me on my cell (417-2463), and we will take some wristbands up to the gate for you if we still have any.

You might want to bring out water, sunscreen, a chair, and some money for delicious festival food. We look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.
