These are a list of rules Pegasus Valley is hoping to codify. When designing battlegames you should consider these rules.
NEW GAME MECHANICS
A team may set up camp within a circle with a 20 foot diameter. A camp lasts a maximum of 10 minutes. When set up, the center of a camp acts as a Light Source. The incantation to set up camp is “Let us rest here, safe from harm. Later we may journey on.”x15. Friendly players within the area of camp gain the following benefits:
After remaining in the camp for 60 seconds, you regain all uses of your per life magic or abilities.
After remaining in the camp for 150 seconds you regain all uses of your per refresh magic or abilities.
If a friendly player in camp has access to the (Greater) Heal spell, all wounds are healed after remaining in the camp for 60 seconds.
If a friendly player in camp has access to the (Greater) Mend spell, all damaged equipment you are carrying or wearing is mended after remaining in the camp for 60 seconds.
Our once-great land is threatened.
I have learned of a great danger, stronger than steel or fire. The vampiric infestation has allowed our crops to rot, as we stopped tilling the earth and tilled the veins of humanity instead. This winter will be harsh, and we must be strong. Stronger than we have ever been. In light of the cold and the invasions, we cannot afford to let our commoners go unclothed. The monsoons will turn to autumn and snow, and our people will die in the saddest of ways, hungry and cold. We cannot allow this threat to our Duchy to continue.
When winter comes, I will sound the bells of feasting. No loyal citizen shall go hungry, and there will be merriment and renewal in the spring time. And rest assured, I will put clothes on those who have none.
I pledge to do everything in my power to save Pegasus Valley and help it grow. The first step is to declare my intention to run for Regent of Pegasus Valley.
By giving me your vote, we can make Pegasus Valley flourish in the arts and prosper. They shall sing of our glories long.
Long live the Valley,

Will you be prepared?
Hard days are ahead for Pegasus Valley.
Due to the recent vampirism outbreak, the usual patrols and purges of the neighboring goblin, orc, and giant tribes have been suspended. These monsters have been unchecked and wreaking havoc on the outskirts our great Duchy for months now. The losses of both people and territory have been enormous. We will shortly be overrun if this is allowed to continue.
Just this morning I was speaking with a child that lost both of his parents to an attack. Before I could find the identity of the attackers the poor child succumbed to his injuries. These monsters must be put down before more atrocities take place.
I will raise a new militia to augment our faltering patrols and personally lead our brave citizens to victory. Equipment will be provided to outfit our citizens without the means to equip themselves. I will open up the Pegasus Valley armory and distribute the wealth of magic items and locked away magics that have gone unused in this time of great need.
I pledge to do everything in my power to rid Pegasus Valley of these dangerous creatures. The first step is to declare my intention to run for Duke of Pegasus Valley.
By giving me your vote, we can make Pegasus Valley a safe place to live once again.
Be weary, there are dangers everywhere,
Duke Glenalth Woodwalke, Defender of the Black Dragon and Knight of the Flame

How to get rid of some leather scraps and wind up with something useful...
I was contemplating a new project and happened to be reading through the play test document for V8. I spotted was a nice little +1 bonus to torso armor for wearing a helm. I was intrigued and had never made a full helmet before, so here is part one on making a leather helm for Amtgard combat. This guide covers basic pattern making and applies to just about any sort of leather armor.
I am having a Nobles meeting on Wednesday, March 7th at 5:30pm at the IHOP on Menaul and Pennsylvania. If you are a noble, I respectfully request your presence.
